True. But sticking a bit of brass in the drill chuck and working it as
the drill is spinning is easily done and can be done with woodworking
tools such as rasps and whatnot. Its only brass afterall.
Drill and tap 8-32. cut off the head of a 1.25" 8-32 bolt and screw it
into the hole..spin and (Carefully) do the outside work, remove, chuck
it in a vise, drill to depth with a # 16 drill (.1770) or even a #15
(.180) and then drill a flash hole for fuse or nichrome wire ignitor.
Using a standard BB (.177) or better yet..a .177 pellet for a good gas
seal and then make the trunnion and attach it to the barrel and voila!
Use FFFF (4 F) black powder as a propellent.
Gunner
