chickweed, how do I get rid of it

Anybody have any ideas on eliminating chickweed in the Atlanta area?

I mulch over the patches of chickweed which are in my garden.

Hi Larry,

I also have this problem. The best solution I have been told is to
weed it out manually in the beginning of the season. I will make rows
of my transplants as wide as possible and then standing there I will
rake chickweed out with a hoe , say on every weekend.
If you have a better solution than this, please let me know. I m
expecting a lot of them this spring. I had to put a lot of cow manure
this fall to build my sagging soil. And chick weed come with manure in
abundance
