Are Clematis supposed to bloom all summer?

I'm growind 2 Dr. Rupels. Its the kind that you prune back in the
spring as it grows and flowers on new growth. ?? Should it bloom all
summer or just in the spring?

You may get a rebloom later in the summer.

Every clematis plant that I have had flowers through the month of June
and partially through July.
