Thanks, Scott
Hello Scott,
You need to replant basil like you would tomato seedlings. Pick off
the lowest set of leaves and plant the seedlings so your soil covers
where the leaves were. Water well, then put mulch around the seedlings.
I like cypress mulch but I am sure you have a favorite you use. :)
They should do fine in containers (just remember they need lots of sun)
and you need to pick the flowers all summer until you are ready for them
to set seed. Good luck! -Kathryn

I just woke up from a very pleasant dream.
Can I go back to sleep now?

seedlings three weeks ago. I planted around 100 seeds and between
failure to germinate or death upon repoting only about 90 survived!
After germination and the arrival of the second leaf on each seedling
I removed them from their pots, placing them in larger pot using a fork
with great care. In past years I have planted the seedlings both in
the garden and in pots and have had great success with both. However,
remember to pinch the flowers off before they bloom as the plants tend to
deteriorate quickly if you don't. Good Luck, Jeanne
