I planted numerous varieties of seeds in early march and they have all done
great (5" tall tons of leaves and real stocky stems) until Sunday when I
noticed some of the leaves are turning yellow on my jalapenos and eggplants.
Whets the reason? The light and watering has remained the same for at least
the last 5 weeks. I was planning on starting to harden them off this week,
should I wait to fix the problem or go ahead?
Thanks,

It could be any or all of the following: too much water, too
much/little fertilizer, not enough light on the lower leaves, the plants
are becoming root bound. I'd transplant them to bigger pots, water
[from the bottom] only when dry, not let sit in water, fertilize once a
week, and start hardening off a week after transplanting.

Jalapenos, at least, don't like sitting in planting cups too long. I've
taken to seeding them a lot later....aiming for three weeks after
germination till they're transplanted.

The don't seem to do much if the soil stays cool.

For my plants, yellowing is usually an indication that they are
tired of being in the pots and want to go outside!
