If you water them well after transplanting (until they are established),
you should have no problem. Shasta daisies are easy to divide.

A lot of this depends on where you live. Here in Austin, z8b, they do
pretty well, except in full,late day sun. They do not spread in the
manner you describe, although I wish they did.
