Wild strawberries began growing as groundcover next to my house last spring. They came back thicker than ever this
year. I haven't seen a snake yet, and I live about 200 feet from a river. BTW, I love popping a handful of those
little berries into my mouth.

I have no idea. Keep in mind that I didn't plant anything, they just showed up one spring. They do seem to enjoy the
shade.
