I have a Honeysuckle vine (Lonicera heckrotti) in Connecticut that we just
planted this year. I always hear about the possibility of the vine growing
wildly. We have the opposite problem.

Our vine bloomed beautifully for a couple of months and developed new
growth. Then the blooming and new growth slowed down. The leaves show what
looks like powdery mildew to me. The vine is not crowded and has plenty of
air flow around it. However, I had a problem with powdery mildew in a
planting of phlox that used to be about 20 feet from the honeysuckle. The
phlox were moved lasts season and nothing else in the nearby beds show any
mildew.

I am thinking of treating the vine with Ortho Funginex, but thought I'd ask
around to see if anyone else out there has seen this problem.

Having the _exact_same problem, _exact_ same situation. First year with
'Pink Lemonade'. Been spraying fungicide, doesnt seem to help. It just
may be overly susceptable. If it doesn't do better next year -out it
goes.

You might find moving it to a site where it gets a good air flow around it
will cut down if not get rid of the mildew completely.
