I would look for a landscape maintenance person rather then a landscape
contractor. There should be some very good ones in the yellow pages.

Depending upon the size of your property and your budget, you might want to consider a landscape architect. We made the mistake of =
getting the "free" advice offered by a local nursery. They are in the business of selling nursery stock, and they will sell you wha=
t they have in stock and usually twice as much as you need. In a year or two your plants will be overcrowded and need transplanting=
, or be dead if it wasn't meant for your particular conditions. A good landscape architect will make a master plan, no matter how m=
odest, and you can plant just one part at a time. It is worth the extra money and you will save in the long run. Otherwise, if you=
can find a knowledgeable garden service as mentioned above, you might be happy.
