There are two list at UK Gardens and OGL (organic gardening list).
to subscribe send a message to LIST...@UKCC.UKY.EDU (or
LIST...@UKCC.BITNET) with no subject and no sig file. The message
should say:

Subscribe <listmane> <your name>.

Be sure to read and save the info file you will receive. WARNING both
of these lists have high volumes 100+ messages a day. You may want to
receive them as digests in which you get one or more large messages a
day rather than many individual posts. Read the info file for how to.

There are lots of lists. In the newsgroup news.lists, there is a periodic
posting of "Publicly Accessible Mailing Lists." In 21 parts.

If you have a Web browser, try:

http://www.prairienet.org/ag/garden/maillist.htm

which covers the following lists:

Alpines - Aquatic Plants - Aroids - Bonsai - Bromeliads - Cacti -
Carnivorous Plants - Chile Peppers - Consumer Horticulture -
Compost - Daffodils - Gardens - Gesneriads and African Violets -
Gourds - Greenhouses - Herbs - Horticulture Newsletter -
Horticulture: Human Issues - Hydroponics - Irises - Master
Gardeners - Indoor Gardening - Mediterranean Plants - Native Plants
- PNW - Orchids - Organic Gardening - Research Gardens - Square
Foot Gardening - Trickle Irrigation

Has anyone else been having a problem with the OGL list. I haven't gotten
anything from it for a week or so. I am listed on the main computer as
being a subscriber, I can't figure what the problem is. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks
Carrie
