I think some of them just do that--it doesnt seem to hurt
anything. If your plant otherwise looks healthy--shiny leaves,
good roots--dont worry.

Have you checked spider mites? And those other juice sucking b****RDs. Calm
now, I'm totaly calm now. Just lost a few dendrobium leaves to them.

Hi Robert:
I would suspect spider mites also. This usually happens in dry and warm
conditions. Try spraying the plants with insecticide soaps. I mist my plants
with soft water to prevent mite problems.

Good luck

by curling under do you mean like, all rippley with the tip curled
up? And real stiff? Like, almost brittle and downright breakable?
If that's the case, we probably need to talk water. I've got one
that, since putting her in the slotted pot has been doing the very thing
that I described to you above.
It turned out to be that the regular watering was not sufficient.
The water, when I poured it in, ran right straight through and into the
saucer. From where it evaporated. the roots hardly got to taste it
before it was gone.
You have to pretty much drench 'em when you water. Get your nice
warm(room temp.) water flowing and let it run through the pot evenly on
all sides for about three to five minutes, longer if you want. The thing
is I was watering the plant, but I never gave it a chance to drink.
Now she does just fine on two healthy "tropical storms" a week.
