It's been a fairly busy summer on the photography front.
First off, I rearranged my site a little, so all the previous URLs are
broken. You can always find the orchid photography index at:
http://www.erichunt.com/orchids/photos.html
Now, on to the flowers!
A new collection has been added to my site! Scott Dallas of White Oak
Orchids (www.whiteoakorchids.com) has invited me to take photos at his
nursery. They are at:
http://www.erichunt.com/orchids/whiteoak.html
Highlights:
* A lovely green and white Eurychone rothschildiana
* The most delicate and elegant white flowered orchid I've seen in a long
time, Podangis dactyloceras
* 6 different Phalaenopsis species, the prettiest being Phal. mariae
* The most amazing buttery yellow Dendrobium chrysotoxum
Moving on, the July 2002 San Francisco Orchid Society meeting photos are
online at:
http://www.erichunt.com/orchids/SFOS/07022002.html
Highlights from this meeting:
* a five flowered inflorescence of Bulbophyllum frostii (the plant normally
only produces a two or maybe three flowered inflorescence)
* a bizarre alien looking flower, Sphyrastylis urceilabris. I believe it is
related to Ornithocephalus.
* Some gorgeous Disa unifloras
* The Dove Orchid, Anguloa clowesii
Next off, more great species from Dan Newman at Hanging Gardens:
http://www.erichunt.com/orchids/hg.html
Latest additions include:
* Another obscure Stanhopea tribe species, Houlettia wallisii. Absolutely
gorgeous.
* A new favorite pleurothallis for me, Pleurothallis cordata.
* Three new Restrepia species
* Lepanthes medusa - can you see how it got that name?
Finally, there are always new plants in bloom at OrchidMania
(www.orchids.org)
http://www.erichunt.com/orchids/omspecies.html
* A gorgeous Dendrobium junceum
* An impressive bloom on Dendrobium nudum
* Two breathtaking Lycastes: deppei and macrophylla
As always, check the flowers out and let me know what you think or if you
have questions!

The SFOS Bulbo photos are fantastic. Bulbos are becoming my latest passion.
