DewBerry Vines in Flower garden

Hi,
I have dewberry brambles in my flower beds......is there something i can
spray on them without killing the flowers?

Dewberries produce a great fruit, but like blackberries they will take over
the garden if not controlled, as can be seen in the Oregon where they grow
wild.

I would say the best way to get rid of them is to prune and dig out the
roots. Painting the leaves with Roundup or some other herbicide will also
help (follow directions on the label). I also use a squirt bottle to spray
specific plants. Make a tube of paper or cardboard to direct the spray onto
the plant and to keep the spray from drifting. Do not get it on any other
plants. And finally I do not know of any herbicide that is specific to
dewberries.

Lots of things... water, for example... but they won't kill the
dewberries, either, if that's what you want to do.
