Harvard researchers have just published a study in Nature detailing
their findings on how North Carolina's Tipitiwitchet plant (Venus
Flytrap) snaps it leafy jaws so fast. They still do not understand the
molecular process, but now have a better understanding of how the shape
of the leaves works to snap shut in a tenth of a second:
