hello I
I
I was at the nursery a few days ago and purchased a little pot of
various succulents. I got some lambs ear a wondering jew joshua plant
I think it is any way and one I dont' recognize
They are doing a little poorly well I got them that way I also got an
aloe that is a very spikey one which is very green and spotted very
attractive. I know what to do with an aloe but I'm not sure about
lambs ear and the rest I repotted them in new cati soil and I did not
really disturb their roots I couldn't find my root tone so I did
without. I placed a layer of pea gravel on top of the soil and gave
them a sparce watering a day llater. the leaves are a bit thin as if
they had to use al lot of their stores on staying alive. I know an
aloe is hearty and I've turned one around before but I have no
experiance with the others I just want a bit of advice to keep them
till I get to the library or some helpfulweb site
thanks in advance
I wish this group had more posters it is an intresting one

well. i am new here.. just sort of barged in, but since no one is here
today 'cept you and me, i'll try to help. I am also a novice, however.
the worst thing you can do to the cactus i think is to over water it.
Allow the soil to be come dry between waterings. even the Aloe.
During the growth months, spring and summer, when you water, give it
some fertilizer and sun, but in the winter it needs too rest, so no
fertilizer. The aloe, if it is the tender type sold in most discount
nurserys, won't want direct sun as it will burn it. i put mine out in
the summer where it will get a bit of early morning sun and open shade
the rest of the day.

probably before the next day is over, you will get some more , better
information, so keep checking.
