I haven't had time to see them yet, but the owner did try 'em out on his
Genesis before I went back to work. They both look at first glance like
quality carts.
Hard Drivin' looks exactly like the arcade version. Same type of graphics,
two tracks: speed and stunt, instant replay, racing competition mode, etc.
I only played the arcade game a couple of times but this looks identical
to me!
Battle Squadron is a another shooter game, but this one looks like the
best shooter to me outside of ThunderForce III. It's a vertically
scrolling shooter, like Blazing Lazers (for TG-16) or Zanac (for NES).
The graphics are really brilliant and colorful, *better* than many arcade
games that I have seen. This game originally appeared on the Amiga, and I
had seen this at my nephew's house. The Genesis version looks to be even
superior to the Amiga version, and I think EA has got another winner on its
hands. If you want another shooter game after TF III, you will want to
consider this one.
