This one looks like a must get. The control is absolutely fantastic,
and the animation is fluid. I was expecting REALLY crude graphics based
on others' comments, but the enemy designs are pretty nice. Sound seems
passable, but the real test will be on my stereo at home. ;-) The voices
are a nice touch, and seem well integrated into the game. (I kept whacking
my wings into the ground on sharp banks, and a pleasant female computer
voice warned me of wing damage.)
Electronic Boutique mentioned that they'd have the game today, but
the "official" release date is Wednesday. Happy hunting!

On a similar note, can anybody tell me what the acclaimed (by the Starfox
commercial on TV) SuperFX chip is, and why it hasn't previously been used?
I did check the FAQ, but couldn't find anything in there about it.
Doug McKee
It's a chip that can rapidly draw 3-d polygons for simulator games.
It can also do sprite and background scaling. Background perspective scaling
has more freedom of movement than the old mode-7. This chip is a scaled
down version of technology used by flight simulators and graphic workstations.
Nintendo adds $10 to the thier basic $50 list price when this chip is in
a game.
