Soul Edge preview: by far the most stunning arcade game of all time! It's Soul
Edge, the polygonal sword-fighting game from Namco. We've got the scoop at
NewType with about two dozen clear screen shots of this amazing game! All of
the known characters are described. Check it out!
Samurai Shodown 3 preview: at long last, (thanks again to Dave Villanueva!)
NewType's Samurai Shodown 3 (Neo Geo) update is on-line. Check out the
official character profiles for all twelve fighters, and get a load of some
first-hand gameplay notes from NewType's Japanese correspondent.
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Hexen (PC). The sequel to id Software's Heretic is every bit as good as you'd
hope! Get the low-down at NewType.
Resident Evil (PlayStation). This unbelievable game from Capcom is heading
your way soon! Check out those graphics! One of the most violent games in
recent memory; we love it!
Wing Commander IV (PC). The latest and greatest installment of Chris Roberts'
famed saga. No more Kilrathi this time around! Get the scoop on this hot game.
Mortal Kombat 3 (PC). Hot on the heels of the PlayStation version, along comes
MK3 for PC. One of the greatest arcade to PC conversions of all time.
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventures (PC). One of the first Windows '95 exclusive
titles. Good, clean fun.
Dust (PC). Fans of Return to Zork and Myst should scope this out.
