Wow - what a day - Tempest 2000 for my Jaguar and, unexpectedly,
Dark Wizard for the Sega CD. The latter is available at Electronics
Boutiques (nice to work at one so you get first pick of new titles as
they come out of the box, he he!) I haven't played it yet (I could hardly
stop playing T2000 long enough to post this!), but it looks like a cross
between Master of Monsters and Shining Force. I'll post more after I've
played it, unless someone else posts about it first. Anyway, just thought
I'd let you all know it was out, in case you were waiting.
Now back to T2000...

I got Dark Wizard yesterday. Some of my first impressions:

The graphics are pretty poor, especially in the battle scenes. The music
is OK. The intermissions are rather lackluster, character designs leave
much to be desired and the dubbing is simply atrocious, the worst I've
ever heard in any video game (including some of the TurboGrafx games).

Their choice of names had me rolling on the floor. Susan? Kimberly?
Take a trip to your local bookstore and pick up any sword and sorcery
novel, will you ever find a character names Susan?

Not sure if "Princess Chelsea" was intentional or not.

In short, if you like strategy games, you'll probably like it. But, as far
as the overall package goes, Langrisser (PCE-CD version of Warsong) is
miles better.
