I got Dark Wizard yesterday. Some of my first impressions:
The graphics are pretty poor, especially in the battle scenes. The music
is OK. The intermissions are rather lackluster, character designs leave
much to be desired and the dubbing is simply atrocious, the worst I've
ever heard in any video game (including some of the TurboGrafx games).
Their choice of names had me rolling on the floor. Susan? Kimberly?
Take a trip to your local bookstore and pick up any sword and sorcery
novel, will you ever find a character names Susan?
Not sure if "Princess Chelsea" was intentional or not.
In short, if you like strategy games, you'll probably like it. But, as far
as the overall package goes, Langrisser (PCE-CD version of Warsong) is
miles better.
