Xmen:COTA has been released...A quick thought or two...

Yep, I picked up Xmen:COTA from Captron at Vallco in Cupertino CA
tonight at 9PM. Having never played the games much in the arcades I
can't compare it to the arcade. It does look like a fair amount of
animation was lossed, there does not seem to be the smooth animation
that I find in Night Warriors. Also, the manual was way screwed up. It
reprinted 1/2 of the manual twice. So I don't have move lists for 7 of
the 10 characters. (Oh well, thank heaven for the net, I just grabbed
the FAQ from ftp.netcom.com:/pub/vi/vidgames/faq/ and you can also get
it from http://rat.org/vidgames)

So far I am not overly impressed. IMHO, If you could only buy either
Night Warriors or COTA, I would say by Night Warriors. I find the
gameplay better and the animation smoother.
Well, just an opinion.
