Sonic Jam - First Impressions

Well, I picked up Sonic Jam today at the local EB. No need to really
comment on the old games, they are perfect. Shows how easy it is to
emulate Genesis on the Saturn (come on, Sega, how about ALL the old
genesis classic games?). The interface is very slick,
all hi-res. The Sonic World part (you know- the 3D bit that has
stirred up so much debate here) looks gorgeous. Totally Sonic. Maybe
not better than Mario64 (graphically OR gameplay wise), but it's still
amazing, and is easily comparable to it. It's quite small though, but
considering how much other stuff they crammed onto this cd, it's easy
to see why. It's full of cool FMV sequences, character artwork, music,
HILARIOUS japanese commercials, etc. etc. etc. and so on. Definitely a
cool collectors piece, and a great way to get the original Sonic
adventures at a decent price (jeez, I remember how much I paid for
EACH of these titles back then...). Well, that's my 2 cents for now...
back to playing.....
