It's regarding stereo sound from the 32X. I have it plugged into an
original Megadrive with a Mega CD II. Currently I have the stereo output
of the Mega CD II connected to my stereo system. Right now I only have
Doom, and all of the sound effects seem to be there (although in mono).
However, isn't the 32X suppose to add two additional sound channels? If so,
will they appear through the Megadrive/Mega CD II combination, and how?
I originally connected the 32X to my TV via the RF modulator that comes
with the 32X. I noticed in that configuration none of the sound from the
Mega CD II comes out when playing CD games. Since the quality of the RF
picture is terrible anyhow, I bought a A/V cable designed for the Megadrive
II and plugged it into the 32X to improve the picture...but while that
clears up the picture there is no sound coming through this cable at all!
The instruction booklet _seems_ to imply that I was suppose to buy the
Megadrive II A/V cable, but why no sound? I'll be damned if I understand
how it's all suppose to work!
Anyway, any hints on the proper setup will be gratefully received.
