Problem connecting to the Internet with Earthlink??

Anyone here use Earthlink and able to connect using their DC web
browser? I don't know why it doesn't work for me, after i dial up, all
i get are a#!@#dashge9^3 messages coming nonstop in the modem dialog and
it hangs up and redials everytime. Does anyone else have this problem?
I enter all the DNS #'s specified on their page too, it just doesn't
work. Thanks..

If you had to install software with earthlink (which I think you do, I have a
copy of it) then they are not a genuine ISP provider (like aol).

No, Earthlink is an ISP. I'm connected to Elink right now using NT 4.0 /
RAS, didn't install any Earthlink software. You need the DNS server IP
addresses, a phone number, your username < ELN/xxxxx > and a password. It
works fine on the DC too, I connected a few times to download the Sonic
level 1 banners and register my DC.

EarthLink doesn't require software. The software they provide is for
AOL'ers and other morons. In fact, you can connect to them using the
generic settings windows provides.

I have Earthlink, and it is an ISP and i hoooked my DC up with it monday
after launch, and it works fin. Call them on tech line and they will talk
you though all the options on DC internet settings.
Make sure that you tell them that you have a DC, and its powered by windows CE

Earthlink works just fine. Make sure you put the ELN/ in front of you user
name. That's an easy one to forget.
