From Magic-Box:
"UNCONFIRMED: Similar to Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK: Millennium
Fight 2000 will contain dozens of hidden characters, there will be
close to 60 playable characters in the game, with 28 initially
playable. The hidden characters can be unlocked by using a points
system similar to MVC2. "

I thought there would be a couple hidden, I'd be surprised if it were
60 but who knows

Hmm... that would be nice. 30 per side? Well... SNK side NEEDS Mary and
Shingo, I've love to see Shermie, and since they put Vice in for some
reason, why not bring in Mature as well. Capcom side, of course, needs
Dan, and toss in Jill Valentine for good measure.

Arg... I want this game SO bad. *sobs*

WOW. Yes. This is good news. Well, I hope it's the truth. The REAL Match of
the Millennium: Dan vs Shingo!

Ok people it's SUPPOSED to be:

Dan vs Robert (see KOF 2K striker)
Athena vs Sakura (Athena fighting in her school girl outfit)
Billy/Lawerence vs Vega (claw boy)
Guile vs Heidern (STORM BRINGER!!!)
Joe vs Sagat/Adon
(WHY THE FUCK Joe is NOT in there I STILL don't get it especially since Capcom
is using their old ass character line up)

Cool if they had:
Mary, Shin Shingo (with flames, heh), K' (umm scratch that ^_^, cheap bastard),
Heavy D, Duck King (sure why not) and some others I can't think of.
CHANG DAMN IT!!!!! ^_^

Most likely in there:
Evil Ryu/Akuma (Capcom's ass fuck baby's)
Evil Iori (just so they can say it's 'even')

Only real sucky thing is it's gonna result in the old school Capcom engine.
You know, ducking short pokes, fireball/dp patterns, and I fear some type of
juggle combo death.

Forget that... Shingo vs. Sakura - the fight between the main-character
fans. ^_^

Well, people who've played it say that it "feels like" Alpha/Zero 3
and most people like that pace (besides the system being "broken" )

I think it would have been a mistake to make it slower (SF3) or faster
(MvC2 level)

It really moves about like a KoF game would... More methodical, slower
paced.

KOF games are much faster than SF. Generally faster plus with
dashes/running, hops and super jumps. Dodging and/or Rolling
means
you don't need to be as methodical, there's very little
positioning game to be had in KOF.

I agree. And I'll agree with Joe in that it moves like a KoF game - which
means *faster* than a SF game. I just played it today and even the Capcom
rep told me it felt pretty fast to him (this was before I mentioned it) -
I'm sure he was used to demoing all the SF games Capcom's released lately.

The fighting modes are Alpha style and Easy mode from KoF. I dunno about
how many characters, other than the initial 28 that Capcom mentions in their
press release (and that looked about like what I saw while playing). They
do say it's still heavily under development, and none of the hidden
characters are unlockable in the current build, so I think it's doubtful
that even they know the full roster at this point. There were a few obvious
omissions in the character select screen, though, so I'd have to say it's
gonna be at *least* ten, and with the kitchen sink approach Capcom's been
taking with their games lately, I'm sure they're gonna include some of the
characters from their non-fighting games.

Anyway, I'll be putting a little preview up at hotgames.com tomorrow (may as
well advertise my web site as long as I'm posting stuff I get paid to write
during the day)...

The base movement rate just feels slower to me I suppose.

Yeah I know. By cramming in more characters and making it more likely
that everyone's favorite characters will be in the game it HAS to suck

It would be even cooler if they included characters from some of SNK's
non fighting games :) I would love to kick Ryu's butt with the hero from

No kiddin.

O.k. a few Last Blade, Samuri Showdown, Vampire series, and SF III, and other
SF characters wouldn't hurt.

I can see why they have the point system.
I mean it's 'supposed' to keep things fair.
(so they say)

But damn, why did they have to dummy down the SNK characters supers so much?

And to the one guy whos' doing a review.
NOW PLEASE!!!! ^_^

'cept that all those weapons would be hard to take seriously.

We are trying to stay away from the weapon vs non weapon characters.

Though the GenAn/Blanka match-up seems interesting.

I'm still surprised it's still THAT much divided, Samuri, KOF, and Last Blade
fans.
