I usually don't make these kinds of posts since I am a more of an...
informational type of person, but this is an exception.

ManaByte used to post on Usenet. Going by what he wrote, which you
can see below,
obviously he could use some support, from those of you that *might*
(just might) even care.

if you don't care, nevermind then.

today.

The cuts on my wrists hurt.

Goodbye."

quote ManaByte:

"I am not OK.

Today is my 30th birthday and my wife divorced me. She got on a plane
to Orlando today, tore off her rings, and her mother (who owns the
house we're renting), has evicted me and I need to get everything I
own out of the house by the 29th. My family has basically disowned me,
and the only person I know who can help at all is my best friend from
childhood who lives 300 miles away. I am unable to reach any family
members via phone due to them blocking me, my bud lives up in
Sacramento with his parents, and I only have a few days to pack
everything up in boxes and get the stuff out of the house. My other
friend I can sometimes count on lives about two hours away, but is
currently in Arizona with his family.

My wife cost me my job at SOE through her family being assholes, sent
my cat to the pound, got rid of about half of my PS2 games because
they were "demonic", cost me my entire family, took every penny I
have, and now tossed me out on the curb on my 30th birthday two days
before Christmas. Hell, last night she grabbed a sledge hammer and
nearly smashed my iMac so I couldn't even contact anyone via the
internet. The only reason I am able to contact anyone right now is
because she's on a plane headed to Orlando.

And the whole reason for this? The loss of the job at SOE that she and
her crazy family caused! They cause me to lose a job, and then use the
lack of that job as an excuse to further ruin my life. Here's a piece
of advice kids, never marry a redhead; they're psycho.

So tell me, what reason is there to go on? Really. There is none. No
one really cares. I'm alone on my birthday and Christmas and my wife
divorced me on my birthday. No job, no money, no wife, no family.
Nothing. Why should anyone go on at all?"

lets take a break from the BS console war,
for awhile and do something that might actually even matter.

Just out of curiosity, if he said the only thing that'd make him feel
any better is if you stopped crossposting once and for all, would you
do it?

$50 says you wouldn't....because as we all know, you're an attention
whore and once it goes away, you'd probably be feeling the way he is
now. Difference is, instead of people lobbying to help you, we'd be
pushing you to do it.

Merry X-mas. :)

I can't say I remember him, looks like he was most active on usenet
around '98 and '99.

Anyone know how to get ahold of him? I'd remind him that if he gives
up then that means the bitch wins. I'd also like to tell him that
turning 30 is NOT a big deal. It's kind of like when you're a kid and
you see all these TV shows showing what High School is like, then when
you get there you realize all those TV shows were full of crap.
Turning 30 is a lot like that.

I felt like that about That 70s Show myself...
That was my high school years, and that show was as phony
as Cheap Trick sounding like Slade (waitaminnit...^_^).

I had severe depression for several years because I had very bad
parents and also grew up around really rotten inner city kids. So I
grew up with a lot of bad influences and had no idea how to cope with
life. After I hit bottom, I learned a lot of things to help myself. I
did the following things which totally cured my depression. I'm now
running my own successful business doing something that I love and I'm
working on becoming a multi-millionaire. I already achieved one of my
big goals, which is to never again have to work for other people,
because I really hate working for others. That was one of the major
things that gave me the severe depression I used to have. I don't have
to take crap from bosses, customers, and coworkers anymore just to
earn a living. I'm really happy about that! I make my life the way
that *I* want it so that *I* can be happy. I don't settle for any kind
of situations anymore that make me unhappy.

1. Eat healthy, eat lots of fruits and vegetables to give your brain
and body the nutrients needed to be healthy and positive.
2. Read many self help books. Get a lot of good advice.
3. Think positive all the time about everything
4. Ignore all the negative things and all the negative people who try
to say hurtful things to you. Do your best to forget about them and
stay away from them so you don't have to hear or read what they say.
5. Don't worry about anything. Worry is very bad for you and doesn't
help in any way.
6. Take nutritional supplements
7. Always set important goals to strive for every day.
8. Take control of everything in your life. Do not be passive. Do not
let things outside yourself control you. YOU take control. Any kind of
problem you have, take charge and solve it. Always do something.
9. Live consciously: look for answers and solutions to all problems.
Do not live blindly or on automatic pilot. See new possibilities.
Don't keep doing the same things that aren't working. Don't limit
yourself. Open your eyes and your mind.
10. Life is not all or nothing. If you lose one thing, you still have
many other things to live for and enjoy. Your life is not ruined just
by losing one thing.
11. Don't read the news or watch the news on TV. They are full of
negativity and they will bring you down.
12. Don't let anything get you down. There are always ways to make
your life better. If you stay positive and keep working on it, you
will be amazed at how much better you can make your life.
13. Stay away from the losers: the negative people, the hurtful
people, the bullies, the narcissists, the naysayers, the low-income
people, the no-hopers, the people who aren't going anywhere in their
life.
14. Don't take crap from people. If people treat you wrong, then do
something about it. For example if you have relatives that treat you
wrong, then do something about it. Assert yourself and fix the
problem.

Please, the guy is trolling gaf for attention. I can't believe anyone
would take those posts seriously. If he was going to off himself he
would be dead already. He's probably sitting back looking at the 7
page plus thread laughing his ass off.

Some of it was very good (lots fruits and veggies is a good thing) but
some of it was downright bizarre... "stay away from low income
people"?!?
