Toshinden Remix out.

(Waldensoftware). Had it playing in our demo machine and since the
monitors aren't wired for sound, I can't comment. However the intro
is very well done and the graphics, while slightly downgraded from the
playstation version, still look quite good. Certainly NOT "ugly" as
that idiot in gamefan seems to think.
This will, of course start a long and useless debate about how the
Saturn can't handle a game like Toshinden since it came out months
after the Playstation version and doesn't look as good.
HOWEVER, keep in mind that Toshinden Remix was NOT originally coded
with the Saturn arch. in mind...it was developed FIRST for the
playstation. Had the game been developed for the Saturn from the
ground up...it would probably look much better (look at VF2 in you
need clarification). It's the same reason that doom (for all intent
and purposes) on the playstaion looks like Doom on the PC with a few
added tweaks here and there (lighting effects, new music)
Also, for added Saturn news and enjoyment:
The $249 price seems to have come from Sega direct as we have lowered
our price as well.
Finallly, Magic Carpet (both Saturn and Playstation versions) will be
in tomorrow (thursday 3/28)
