Do you know if it will be a censored version of the Japanese game? With
Sega's new rating system, it SHOULDN'T be, and it would be GREAT if it wasn'
t... but if it is, looks like I'm buying the CDX converter, because I want
this game, but not if it is censored...
...here I go again...
SOMEBODY PLE.... *ahem* Would somebody PLEASE tell me what
is "censorable" in Time Gal?

There is supposed to be nudity in it. I haven't seen the game in action, so
I can't verify this.

hmm, I knew there was some alleged nudity. 'guess I forgot to
mention that in my earlier post. I've gone through the enitre game and
don't remember ANY nudity. Closest I ever saw was when Leika's bottom got
torn off by a dinosaur(?), but she curled into a tuck positon long before
anything objectional could be seen.
Somewhere in a magazine I THINK there's supposed to be some nude
picture (or seemingly nude pic) which you can see if you finish on the
hard setting.... ONE picture. If this is it, I don't quite see the purpose
for all the great hoopla.
I'm curious as to what they did to the theme song and the voice
soundtrack.
That one's still in the US version. (There's a reason I know this. I'm
getting to it. :) )

Nor I...some people can be so neurotic about these things.

Well, I got the US release. (See above. :) ) If you've been playing the
import, you know what the game's like, so I won't bore you -- I'll just get
to answering these two questions.
Theme song: Vocals removed. Rather than embarrass themselves by trying to
write new lyrics, or baffle their audience with subtitles (which wouldn't
have been so bad), they took out the vocals and replaced them with a jazz
organ playing the melody line.
Voice soundtrack: This is genuinely funny. :) They got an English-speaking
actress who does a very good impression of the Anime Cutie Squeaky Voice.
She oofs, she taunts, she "oh-no"s, she screams "Mommyyyy!" when she falls
off the first plane in the 1941 segment...any purist would run away
screaming bloody murder. Fortunately, I've never been such a person. B)
BUT -- here's the bad news -- somehow, the timing on the soundtracks got
screwed up. On most scenes, audio progressively loses sync with video
throughout the scene, so audio cues are way off-kilter by the end of a
level (you can hear Time Gal making her move before you see it happen).
This should make playing Hard level "interesting".
Special note to Renovation: next time, double-check the audio timing.
'Kay?
