I saw this title yesterday at Best Buy for $49. Has anyone seen or played
it yet?

In article <1995Dec17...@mcvax2.d48.lilly.com>,

Blackthorne 32X just came out also. I REALLY want this game, but the only
place I have seen it is at Babagges for $69.99 and I dont think any game on
any system is worth more than $50. Has anybody seen it selling for less
elsewhere? If so, *please* post. Thanks. For anyone who may be interested,
GAMEPRO's review of Blackthorne 32X was very good.

P.S. I picked up B.C. Racers 32X the other day. A bit grainy on some of
the graphics, and the controls take a little getting used to, but this
game is fun and funny! The more you play the more there seems to be
to the game. My only real gripe is the night track on the second
round of normal level is hard to negotiate because of the way they
used colors to depict nighttime. At any rate, Im enjoying the game :-).

Yeah, I got T-Mek for $49, and it's a good 1 player game...
It's an awesome 2-player game!!! It uses split-screen for 2-player
mode. There are 6 different MEKS (hovercraft) with different weapons.
Some MEKS can cloak and some have guided missiles--you guide them
yourself from a chase view. Totally cool. The arenas vary. Some
arenas have hazards (fire), some have obstructions that can be
destroyed, and some have really cool graphics (like a desert arena with
giant skulls). You get to chose your name in the beginning and it
shows every name on the radar plus under your gun sight if you are
lined up on someone (long names like 'killer', etc--use your
imagination), too, not just 3 letter initials. Matches are timed, and
you can pick up the power core from a destroyed MEK (the only way to
recharge your shields). If you die you rejoin the battle and a cool
voice says 'Seek revenge!' (like Shao Khan from MK2 only he's called
Nazrac) and if you kill the one that killed you, you get a bonus. A
very fun game. I've played Twisted Metal on my friends PSX and I had
more fun playing this (TM has better graphics, though). In 2-player
mode you can choose to have cpu-opponents (with selectable skill level)
or 1-on-1...no more cries of 'No fair, the cpu killed me too much' ;)
One cool thing to try (if you have the stuff) is 'Y' your video/audio
outs to 2 TV's (we used Amiga 1084 monitors) and cover your opponent's
half of the screen on each TV. Then you get the effect of 'linked'
play--you can sneak up on the other guy, etc. Try it if you can!
I really wish this game had XBand support. In fact, it can if enough
people ask for it (in case you don't know, the XBand modem can download
a patch to itself to make any 2-player cart modem playable. No new
version of the cart is needed). BuFrom: bam...@ix.netcom.com(Mark Wood )

XBand wants us to write to the game maker and ask (beg) for XBand
support for our favorite games. So write to :

tm...@agames.com

and write a nice (but pleading) letter asking them to make T-Mek
compatible with XBand! And be sure to tell others to do the same!

Want more? Okay, here's more!

Seven pages of T-Mek on the freakin' web! Yes!

Now how much would you pay? Ok, try this : for your game name, use
some of the names from the credits in the manual. Nazrac will let you
know when you've hit the jackpot!

PS-Let's make T-Mek on XBand a reality!
