Hello. Its me again... the official SEGA rep. from
toys r us. I just got the first play of SEGA CD GROUND ZERO.
The full motion video makes NIGHT TRAP and SEWER SHARK look
acient! Its much more colorfull and detailed!
The animation is still a little choppy..but overall its
world better than any other FMV game so far. Best
of all, it's 2 CDs! (Over 110 minutes of video!)
It not much for playability...but its do until DOUBLE SWITCH.
PEACE.
Tonight or tomorrow I'll get my first views of
SEGA CD PRIZE FIGHTER and STELLAR FIRE. They're out.
SEGA CD IS FINALLY COMING BACK FOR REVENGE. (It's about time.)
SONIC is still selling like crazy.

No offense or anything, but how are you the 'OFFICIAL SEGA REPRESENTATIVE'
just because you work at Toy's R Us ??

Anyways, I'd like to hear how Prize Fighter, etc are if you get a chance to
play them.

The manager at Electronic Boutique told me he tried Prizefighter out last
night and did not care for the game because it was too difficult to
perceive depth in the game (so it was too difficult to land a punch).
I think I'd like to try it out anyway. It looks pretty cool. Ground
Zero Texas is a Mad Dog Macree type game with more depth to it. Aliens
have landed in a border town in Texas and you've been elected to save the
planet (or if you fail the U.S. nukes the place). I've only played the
first section of the game. You have 4 battlecams (cameras with guns attached)
and several hewpful agents who move the game along. In the first section
you have to take out the aliens before they take out your battle cams and
avoid hitting innocent pedestrians. I have played T2, Lethal Enforcers, and
Mad Dog on game machines (Sega, sega CD, and 3DO respectively) and can state
that this game is better than those three. There are some funny bits and
more of a story line though it is basically a shooter. In some respects it's
like Night Trap with shooting instead of traps but I personally like
this game much better than Night Trap. The shooting control (done with the
directional pad for aiming and the C button for shooting) is easy to use
to target (unlike the unplayable 3DO version of Mad Dog). Overall a good
game if you like shooters.

You saids Prize Fighter looks awful. Does that mean you've played it
and it doesn't play well or that you don't care for the way it looks?
Thanks & Regards...Marc Baime

I haven't played it, but I saw it on a commercial and it looked
terrible. It has this tiny FMV window where you watch yourself throw
punches etc, but how much playability can you get in a boxing game
when it just shuffles between FMV segments.
I got the new EGM and there were some COOL looking SEGA CD games.
I forget the name of it, but there was this one with a robot or something
that looked very good. For a SEGA CD, they looked pretty decent..
