This has happen to me a couple of times when I played Lunar (I have the
flip top version of Sega-CD 1.3), what is weird is when that happen I
would open the lid/top, spin the disk, and shut it tight and wait for it to
start up spinning again and press start. All the sudden it started to
play again where it frozed, this has only happen to me on Lunar, but
maybe this can help for others who hve that problem with other games.
I have no idea why this happens, but that is a sulution ^_^;

I have had some quirks on Dark Wizard. I finally traced the problem to
the power lines! Now whenever I play Dark Wizard, I unplug my fridge and
presto no problem. The ice cream in the freezer melts though *grin*. I
live in a very old building with really anitquated wiring.

I encountered the same problem in the final few battles of Lunar. Usually, the
music would stop first, giving me something of a warning. When that happened, I
found that lightly bumping the Sega unit would get it back on track. The only
annoying thing is that it once froze on me six times in a single battle. weird.
Anybody know what causes this?

I had the same problem with Dark Wizard -but that was after I put in the 32x
module. I also have an original US Genesis and the motorized SegaCD though.
But I've heard that this problem is associated with the 32x module.

: Dunno if this is what's happening on SFCD, but if the music stops when it
: happens (or SFX, in the case of the fairy), then it more than likely is.
: We never found, nor were we offered a workaround, so I assume it cannot be
: "fixed" by software. It only affects games that use CD-DA audio extensively,
: and only in certain model SEGA-CD2 systems.
I have an old model Sega CD and the music doesn't stop. It is probably
something else.
