Well, after platying this for a bit and seeing which characters I've been
offered, I have to ask. Is there any character from the vs games, X-Men COTA,
or MSH who does NOT appear in this game? Among some of the less common
charactyers I've been offered are Sentinel, Thanos, Nash, Spiral,Felicia,
Colossus, and Omega Red. I have not seen Mecha-Gouki, Onslaught, Apocolypse,
or Silver Samurai.

On a different note, where are Amingo, Sonson, and Ruby Heart from? Sonson
seems reflect "Monkey Magic" pretty accurately.
Thank you,
AM Urbanek

Mecha-Gouki, Onslaught, and Apocalypse are not available in the game, but Silver
Samurai is. There are a total of 56 chars, including some obscure ones like Kobun
(the little yellow dudes that Tron has by her side), Roll (Rockman's sister), etc.

As far as I know, Amingo and Ruby Heart are original characters created
specifically for this game. As for SonSon, I'm surprised nobody recognizes her!
You'll all have to read up on your classics! :> SonSon is a Capcom game from 1984,
a side-scrolling platform-style shooter that is actually a lot of fun. It was
included on Capcom's "Capcom Generation 3" compilation for Playstation and Saturn,
recently. I'm personally thrilled to see old characters thrown into the mix - but
where are the Buster Bros? How about some Saturday Night Slammasters? The Punisher
and Nick Fury? Super Joe (aka Bionic Commando) from Bionic Commando and "The Speed
Rumbler"? Arthur from the GnG series (as a playable character)? The MERCS from
Commando and MERCS? Oh well, there are lots of possibilities, hopefully Capcom
will fully tap their large stock of cool classic characters before we see the end
of these games!

I, for one, am just hoping that someone out there figures out a work-around for
the N-Point and V-Point problem. I've had my game on for 30+ hours in hopes that
something or another is time-released, but nothing yet. I can't wait to play as
Kobun - please, someone, make it happen! :>

now that you mention it, isn't Amingo from Buster Bros. 3?
Thank you,

I'm pretty sure Super Joe is the hero from Commando, who you're
rescuing in Bionic Commando. You're unnamed in the original NES
version, but in the original GB release, you're Radd Spencer I think.
In the GBC version, I have no clue, although I *need* to get that
game. :)

Are these all completely playable characters, or are some just "helpers"?

I dont have my copy yet (comes tomorrow) but I'm pretty
sure everyone is fully playable. Because the MvC2 system
is you pick three characters for your team, all three
are fully playable and all three can be helpers as well.
Hit the helper 1 or helper 2 button to call a helper,
and hit jab+short or fierce+roundhouse to tag out. Which
of the two you choose determines who tags in/helps you.

All are fully playable. Every single character from every Marvel game to
date is in the game, with the exception of:

Apocalypse
Onslaught
Mech-Gouki

These 3 bosses are definitely not in. In addition, most pallete-swapped
secret characters from MSF/MvC (Shadow CHun Li, Shadow CHarlie, Hyper
Venom, U.S.Agent, "Mephisto", Armour Spiderman, Orange Hulk, "Lilligan",
Gold War Machine [kinda]) are not in it. The only ones who show up at
all are Mega Zangief and Dark Sakura, both of which aren't counted as
separate characters (Zangief and Sakura can turn into them). Roll shows
up, of course, because she's not a pallete swap of anybody.

As noted before, Silver Samurai is in. Also, Norimaro (of MSHvsSF
infamy) is most probably out. Marvel probably had an explicit say in
this one, I'd bet. Also, aside from Roll I wouldn't bet on any
"alternate versions" of characters (ie Red Venom, Shadow Lady) being
in the game unless they're locked into the character (ie the Dark
Sakura transformation).

I'm pretty sure you can add Norimaro to that.
