How many of you guys are going to be getting the first issue? I looked
at the pdf download and it looks great. The owner of the magazine is
wanting to publish it monthly.

I wrote a review of World of Illusion, so I'm a contributor! I have
something else I am going to cover, kind of out of left field. I don't
really want to say much yet, and would liek for it to be a surprise.

But definitely check out the pdf!!

I'm happy to see that there is enough interest to get these projects
off the ground, but I think I'd rather just read the original old
video game magazines instead. I think a publication such as this needs
to offer some new perspective by getting developer interviews and
other rare insights to provide something not already existing
elsewhere in print and the Internet. That demo PDF looks nice enough,
but the layout is kinda archaic by even magazine standard's from a
decade ago and didn't really provide anything in the way of new
content. I don't exactly mean to be such a party pooper :p , just that
I think it's hard enough for professional magazines to thrive let
alone enthusaist fanzine type stuff, especially given the myriad
existing information throughout the Internet. Good luck. :^)

I think the PDF idea is going to be the magazines greatest strength, as
well as its eventual downfall. The PDF format is great because there are
no costs associated with using it, other than the initial purchase of
Acrobat(or whatever)...but at the same time, it's purely digital...which
means it'll be rampantly pirated, much like the UK-based Retro Gamer
magazine is currently seeing.

Still, savor it and put everything you have in to it. The magazine I was
working for only made it two issues before it went under, but I loved
every minute of it...:)
