Not only is VF coming to 32X, but Sega is going to use it as one
of there big releases for 32x this year. They claim it is going to be
the showcase game for the system, the one that finnaly breaks doubt of
32X's power. It is supposed to have features unavalible to the saturn
version (which I own, along with a Virtua stick and love dearly....umm
VFR and VF2) such as tournament mode and full match replay's. Finnaly
starting in august sega will sell Virtua fighter kits which include a
T-shirt, a vidio tape (with tips), and a $20 off cupon, all for $9.99.

The game arrives in early october.

Hope this helps!!!

Yes!!! I heard a radio contest offering that you could win a Genesis 32X
system with the new Virtua Fighter game featuring great head to head
fighting action. Well that means VF32X day is getting very close!

Virtua Fighter's release date is supposedly August 28th.

Also, the innovatively-titled Sega Magazine (UK) has a four page
preview this month.

Where did you hear that? I have been hearing different dates but the most
recent date I have heard is August 4th. That would be this Friday. I asked
about it on Sega's CompuServe forum but they weren't sure. They did say it
should be out in August though.

Unfortunately, this is too little too late. The 32x is DEAD. The Genesis is
Dying. The Sega CD is DEAD. They are all being phased out by the Saturn. I
don't know anyone who is willing to pay $150 for a 32x, when they can get a
Saturn for only twice that price. The 32x games are also about 20% higher
priced than the Sega SATURN games. I still have my 32x and SegaCD, but I never
get any games for them anymore. I only get Saturn, IBM PC, (and SNES games for
XBAND.) I am hoping that XBAND will move to the 32-bit format soon, because I
am tired of playing boring 16-bit SNES games on through their network. It
would be nice to have Virtua Fighter supported by the XBAND network. Don't get
me wrong, the 32x is a good game console (very capable of handling Virtua
Fighter). Sega just released it a year too late. The Saturn interferes with
all of it's potential success.

See ya,
Dana

There is no indication that Sega is phasing out the 32X. On the contrary,
they seem to be proceeding agressively with 32X software development.

Where? The list price of the Saturn is $399, and I have not seen it
discounted. But I think that Sega should cut the price of the 32X (or add
VF as a pack-in).
