You DO have to give this game time to get going. Throughout 90% of Disc 1, I was very bored. It is
mainly wandering around the town, talking to people, going back and forth. The reason for this, is
so you know your way around it for the rest of the game.
When you get onto Disc 2, it is almost like a different game. Within ten minutes, the game gets
VERY interesting, even though you are still in the same environment. I have just finished Disc 2,
and I am gripped by the game now.
The QTE events are very well done, and are not boring at all, and cannot really be compared to
Dragons Lair games.
Its been said many times, but I will say it again. Give it time, and you will love it. Actually,
no. Give it until you are on the second Disc, get a bit through, and THEN make a judgement.
And our survery says;
CD1 - 90% boring.
CD2 onwards - Amazingly good.
Policeman - 'So. What were YOU doing on that day?'
Dog (standing next to some fresh dog poo) - 'Woof?'
Policman - 'You know, the day the snow turned to rain'
Dog - 'Woof!'
I agree completely with some reviewer or someone else said "Shenmue is a
very good representation of a bad kung fu movie." Or something like that.

Actually, I have just finished the game. I loved it. I thought that 'getting a job' part was a
good idea. I thought it was quite good, bombing around in a forklift truck. And the races each
morning added a bit of fun as well.
I think that Shenmue is a brilliant game, up there with Zelda 64, and Perfect Dark. And
Civilization 2...
