What exactly is the value of a "class change" in StHA? Does it do anything
other than make the character's look a little different? What are the
requirements for a class change, anyway?

Also, is it possible to remove the curse from cursed equipment?

The value? Well, once a character is promoted... they not only change
physically, but their abilities also increase faster. Also, I think
they can use new weapons if I'm remembering correctly. You have to be
level 20 to be promoted. Regarding cursed equipment, you can't remove
the curses AFAIK. --

Can a character be promoted more than once?
(That is, the first time they were promoted, the level went back down to 1,
now some of them are at level 25 and they're still not eligible to be
promoted.)

Hey, a priest will take a curse away, I'm almost positive. If not, it'll be
the first Shining game to NOT do so. (maybe excluding SW)

but if it is similar to SF 1 or 2 in this respect, when the curse is removed,
the item will be unequipped; if you re-equip it, that character will be cursed
again.
