Triple Play Gold Edition - Best Baseball Game???

Im trying to decide whether to buy the Triple Play Gold Edition by EA
Sports for the Sega. I rented it, and i have a few problems with the
game which i thought people might be able to help me. Although
I must say, this is a HUGE improvement over the non-gold
edition they had.

Basically, how do i steal a base without the fool at the plate
trying to hit the ball? I know i can do it in manager mode,
but then the darn thing just steals for me, and i dont
get to control the runner. But if i control the runner in
regular mode, then sometimes when im trying
to steal, the guy swings at the ball and ruins it.

This is the only game ive seen where sometimes
the runner tries to steal without your permission!
He just decides to run, whether you want
him to or not.

So should i buy this game? Are there better
baseball games for the sega?

DO NOT buy this game .. WSB 96 is so much better!!!!

I bought triple play gold and liked it until I noticed that all the
stats were totally screwed up .. when I was batting 2 for 4 I was
batting 1.00 and sometimes when I batted 4 for 4 I had a .250 batting
average .. there IS WAY MORE PROBLEMS too.

THE ULTIMATE BASEBALL GAME : WSB 96 !!!!
