Well, it seems I've found all of Shadow's dreams.

I've seen the one when you find him in the WOR (I want you and the girl
to lead a peaceful life), the nightmare (Black screen, evil music, kinda
scary, actually), the happy part (One million gold coins!), the grisly
part (Is this MY blood? Kill me! Kill me!), and the Thamasa part (You're
in Thama...)

Are there any others? I'd like to know what kicked Baram's ass so badly,
to round out the story...

Relm had Strago.. but My question is about a fifth dream. In the FAQ, it
says you get the first 4 dreams 1/4 times you rest at an inn. A fifth
dream can be gotten 1/32 times sleeping.. anyone get that one yet?

Yeah that is a pretty safe assumption. The dream where Shadow(Clyde)
says "I want you and the girl to lead a peaceful life" to his dog happens
when you first rescue Shadow from the Sr Behemoths in the cave in the
Veldt.
However, because of the recent article in GamePro and certain other
articles, and other "in-game" evidence, I believe that there is a
"fifth" dream. What it seems it is going to be about is the explanation
of the Memento Ring and how Relm's mother died.(Assuming Shadow is Relm's
father of course.)
Any other ideas?

Problem is, I've seen a lot of posts on this newsgroup (I don't get alt.games.
final-fantasy, which really pisses me off) that say "I've slept in an inn 800
times, and I still haven't seen the fifth (sixth? seventh?) dream!". So
finding it could be a problem.

And while we're talking about FF3, I'd like to bring up something. Doesn't
it have the greatest character development EVER, in ANY game? I mean, jesus,
there are what, twelve regular characters, and ALL of them have a detailed
story. The fact that we're speculating about two of them being tied together
indicates that Square has finally hit a grand slam. No wonder I want to work
for them. :)

Good job, guys!

Which one was the fifth dream you had? I remember the Thamasa dream, but
I've only seen four of them . . . I think. Still trying to find the
fifth dream. Actually, I don't remember the "want you and the girl to
lead a peaceful life" dream. Was this the first one you had?

I guess it's safe to assume Relm is Shadow's daughter, then?

If you waited for Shadow on the floating island, then found him in the
cave on the veldt, then brought him to thamasa, then you get that dream

Given the vast amount of information I've gone through involving
Shadow and Relm, I concluded a while back that relm is Shadow's daughter.
(I've also concluded that Shadow _is_ a male, his name is Clyde, that he
and Relm both have "dearly departed mothers" (to wear the Memento Ring),
and that you can get Baram by using the Vanish-Fire28 trick on Intangir
and cutting his mask off with the Holy Scissors. Oops, sorry; forget that
last one (too much Bogus FAQ).)
Anyway, according to the dreams, Baram supposedly dies. He gets
mortally wounded after commiting some crime, and tries to convince Clyde
to kill him painlessly, but Clyde doesn't. There's no other sidekick, and
the story all seemed to make sense to me.

I'd say that the Memento Rings can be used by Shadow because she was his
wife. But then, why would Shadow have one of them, too? I guess the
question is: where did the Memento Rings come from?

My theory: Relm has hers from her dear, departed mother. In the
upstairs bedroom, there is another one. Relm's mother left this one
there in case the other one got lost.

Theory #2: It's Relm's mother's, but Shadow had one, too; making
the second ring . . . her wedding ring!

I don't know where this fits into it, but I've seen a dream Relm has where
she first wakes in Thamasa with Strago, wondering where her "papa" is, if
anyone knows how this fits in please tell me...

I've just recently started searching for Shadow's dreams. I've only
found one so far, and it's the really spooky one. Do you have to be in
a certain town, because I've been sleeping in Thamasa forever, and can't
get one, but in the one all the way on the left of Serpent Trench, I got
it on the first try.
