This game is almost brand new. I just got it today and didn't like it and
the store won't let me return it because its open. It has EVERYTHING that
came with it. I paid close to $80 w/ tax. Please LMK if you are
interested along with an offer!

I guess he's an idiot just like you then, by believing Nitendo's
"quality over quantity" moto. What happened to Nintendo's quality
standards that they were suppose to hold all 3rd party games to? This
poor soul buys a new game for his N64, and you call him an idiot because
he doesn't like it. Maybe the real idiots are the people at Nintendo for
putting out such garbage at such an expensive price! -JC-WATCHDOG

Hrm... Interesting persepective. The people at Nintendo are idiots...
Last time I checked, they were making quite a lot of money... You don't
call those people idiots, you call them financially successful. As for
who are the idiots, I think most N64 users can take a gaze in the mirror
for that answer...

Yeah, but we'll only have to pay $40 instead of $80. By my
estimation, it'll be in the bargain bins for $30 soon enough. I could
accept a $30-40 price on Wargods on the PSX, but not $70-80 for the N64
version. You're basically paying for that damn cart! -JC-WATCHDOG

And isn't "Nintendo's seal of quality" on Wargods? They did say that
they would hold 3rd parties to their strict standards. Didn't they?
Compare games like Cruisin, KI Gold, MK Trilogy, Wargods, to games like
Waveracer, Mario64 or MarioKart64. I think their 3rd party standards fall
far shorter. Maybe because they just want to have as many titles
available for the N64 that they're approving ANY new games
coming out regardless of quality. It looks that way. -JC-WATCHDOG

With the high price Nintendo charges on games, unless it's Zelda or
something I would never buy without renting first. Just my $.02

Nintendo promised that it would set high standards for companies
wanting to develop for the N64. I wonder how a product such as
Cruis'n USA could ever be blessed by Nintendo then..
Bottom line is that a N64 name is by no means always an AAA
product, like the company would have us to believe.

Why would you buy something you didn't know you would like?
And why would you expect a store to return something that works fine,
just because you don't want it any more?

Retail stores are *NOT* rental facilities.

You didn't know whether you liked it or not. You plunked down $80 for it.
I haven't bought it, because I haven't tried it. I rented it for $4.
I have absolutely no sympathy for your stupidity.

Holy Cow people! This guy is just trying to sell his game. Give him a
freaking break! Who gives a shit if you think the game sucks. He got burnt
on a game, have you NEVER been burnt on a game? Have you liked EVERY game
you've bought? He never said he was using the store as a rental facility.
He just bought a game he thought he would like, he didnt like it, so he's
trying to sell it on the net to anyone who may be interested. Sheesh. Do
all you people go around slamming everybody who tries to sell games they
dont like!? Reality check people, THATS WHY PEOPLE SELL GAMES IN THE FIRST
PLACE. And if you dont like the game, why the fuck are you reading a FS
post for the game!? Man, people, lighten up and get a clue.

Before you "people" decided to whip out your flamethrowers, did you even
stop to CONSIDER the fact that maybe this guy couldn't get access to a
rental store like Blockbuster? How is he stupid for buying something
that's *supposed* to be a quality product? I think Nintendo owes anyone
who bought a N64 an apology for their rediculous lack of software, and
"quality over quantity" B.S. is a joke, I think we all MUST have realized
this by now...basically, I'm just trying to say you haven't the right to
flame this guy for Nintendo's follies. I actually feel very sorry for
him! But I sure won't buy his Wargods when I've my copy of Tobal 2 right
here! ;-) (Aren't you glad you kept your PSX?)

I don't believe he asked for your sympathy. In fact, he didn't ask for any
editorial comments at all. If you don't want the damn game, don't post.

No, he's not "just" trying to sell his game. He's also ragging on
video stores because they won't buy back used goods and give him the
"new" price.

>Give him a freaking break! Who gives a shit if you think the game sucks.

Just out of curiosity, who is it that you think said, "the game sucks"?

> He got burnt on a game, have you NEVER been burnt on a game? Have you
> liked EVERY game you've bought?

Well, since you asked, no I haven't ever been "burnt"on a game I've bought.
You know why?

Because I rent first (that was my point, I believe).
Or I try a friend's copy.
Or I get lots of reviews and opinions from people who I trust.
Or I buy blind at a price low enough that there's no great disappointment
if the game isn't great.

> He never said he was using the store as a rental facility.

He paid money for the game. He took home the game. He tried the game.
Then he wanted to return the game and get his money back.

Sure sounds like "rental" to me. Only with a rental business, you have
to pay at least a nominal rental fee. This bloke didn't want to lose
one red cent on his trial.

>He just bought a game he thought he would like, he didnt like it, so he's
>trying to sell it on the net to anyone who may be interested. Sheesh. Do

Maybe you missed the part where he tried to take it back to the store for
his money back and then started whining when the store wouldn't take back
an opened game?

>all you people go around slamming everybody who tries to sell games they
>dont like!?

Nobody's "slamming" anyone for trying to sell a game. We're (and I
noticed that there were quite a few who shared my opinion) only slamming
a guy who in turn is "slamming" video stores for not wanting to pay for
the privilege of these people trying out game for free.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, you know.

> Reality check people, THATS WHY PEOPLE SELL GAMES IN THE FIRST
>PLACE. And if you dont like the game, why the fuck are you reading a FS
>post for the game!? Man, people, lighten up and get a clue.

Since you obviously missed the point of my response, and since you are
the one coming to the defense of a parasite who expects others to make
games available to him to try for free (games aren't free, last I checked)
I think it's *you* who needs the "reality check". I think it's *you*
who needs to "get a clue".

Have a nice day! <g>

Well, that hurts. Please, you can do better than that. I could just
as easily say "Most Corvette owners can look in the mirror to find
idiots" and it'd be every bit as true as your statement. Your idiocy
does not correspond to which systems you own. Owning an N64/PSX does
not make you any more or less of an idiot than does owning a Jag. Yes,

Well, nobody asked him to post with a for sale message either.
And nobody asked him to whine about stores not letting him take advantage
of them. So why did *he* post?

Do we need somebody's "permission" before we can send a message now?

I don't think so, jerk.

I'm just stating the truth. Alot of people aren't that happy with the
Nintendo64. I mean... I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Show
me an RPG, show me an American Football game, show me an American
Baseball game, show me a Puzzle Game... You can't... And these are big
genres in the states... Granted, I'm sure there are some people who are
happy with the Nintendo64... And then there are the people that will
defend Nintendo until death... But its time some of you people start
opening your eyes to see that 16 games, only 5 of which hold to the
Quality over Quantity statement, out is just not enough. Oh, and by the
way, the "The Nintendo64 has only been out XX months, give it time!"
excuse just doesnt fly anymore. Nintendo is close to a year into its
life... It should have well over 16 games. Hell, if 10 of thos games
were quality AAA titles I wouldn't be complaining... But they're not.
This reminds me of a letter I read in the Ask Dan section of
www.nintendo.com a while back... A reader wrote in saying that he isn't
happy with the Nintendo64 and that the quality over quantity standard
isnt being held up by Nintendo. Dan, in his infinite wisdom, replied
saying: "It's not? Look at Mario 64, WaveRace, Turok, and Mario Kart,
those are all AAA quality titles." I kind of laughed at that. You kind
of want to reply and say: "Hey Dan, thats FOUR games... Last time I
checked the N64 had 16 games out for it... The rest of them crap?"... I
mean, you can say all you want to be patient, but I've been patient long
enough. Hey, grab a release list sometime... The games in the future
aren't all that great... There's only like 20 more games planned by
Christmas... Going by Nintendo's usual rate, 10 of those will get
delayed... So we'll be lucky to have 25 games by the holidays... And at
this rate, 7 of them will be quality... Great system I tell ya. Open
your eyes.

Since I got my N64 for trade credits from some crappy 3DO games, I'm
going to hold out until NFL QB Club '98 is released. If it has decent AI
and graphics that set it apart from the PSX football games, I will be a
happy N64 owner. Right now I only have Waverace and it's good, but I
would rather have a PSX right now. Lower cost games and much more
selection of sports games...

Thank goodness for great PC games!
