Stuck in Quest for Camelot (GB)

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a hint -

WHERE is the #% $& horse? Merlin has opened the gate, I'm all set -

except I can't find the horse anywhere!

The best thing I can tell you is get the compass which is located in the
castle (2nd level?). The door is opened when you kill all the ghosts.
You can then use the compass to find things like the horse. One clue,
when you find the giant turnip, you can find the horse two levels down.
