I've been playing the Super Mario World cart for a
while and I'm up to getting into Bowser's castle. Earlier
however, I've never been able to find the sectret exit
in the cheese bridge area.
I've taken in Yoshi and used the wings to find the
secret screen but I don't know what I need to do to
get through the secret exit I always seem to come
out at the standard ending.
It also seems that there is a similar secret exit in
final world.
Any clues/outright descriptions on how to do it??
Thanks,
TonyG
To get to the secret exit in the Cheese Bridge Area, you need to have Yoshi.
Towards the end of the level, you have to hop from chainsaw to chainsaw
(with Yoshi) and go _under_ the standard exit. As soon as you are under
the standard exit, you have to jump off Yoshi. If you do this correctly,
to the right of the standard exit is the secret exit. This will take you
to the Soda Lake Area, which is one of the hardest areas of the game. If
you beat Soda Lake, you can now use the Third Star Road.
What do you mean when you say, "secret exit in the final world." Do you mean
the Valley of Browser? If so, I am sorry to tell you that there are several
secret exits in the Valley of Browser. You need to be more specific.
Note: There are some levels that appear in the Valley of Browser, but
can only be accessed from outside the Valley of Browser.
E-mail me if you need more information.

I flew (with a cape) over all those chain saws, then dived under the
first gate, pulled up as hard as I could, caught the moon 3?-up by
coincedence, and had just climbed high enough to land in front of the
second exit gate. It only took me 20 tries or so to hit that first
dive in the right place and then pull up at the right time.
My wife and I didn't have anymore trouble on Soda Lake than on many
other areas.
The place I haven't finished is the whats-its-name bridge above the
Cheese Bridge Area. (And I've already beat Bowser!) The farthest
I've gotten on it was by flying (for five minutes??), slightly above
the top of the screen until I got to the place where the screen drops
down, then rises up again -- You know, the place with the inverted
pyramid of ?-blocks. (My description might be off a bit. I haven't
tried it lately.)
Any hints on how to finish that level? Or for finishing Tubular in
the Special world?
Thanks

I do not think that it is possible to fly through the second part of that
bridge (I can't remember the name right now). In the part where the screen
scrolls down, it is best to stand on the right-most Thing-that-goes-down-when-
you-stand-on-it. It will go down at about the same speed the screen scrolls.
In the place with the rows of blocks, it is best to get the power-up, hit a
yellow block and jump through the hole and land on the block to the right or
left. When on that block, hit a yellow block, jump through the hole, etc.
until you are at the top. You should be able to get through the rest of the
area. Note: Yoshi is no help here, but Blue Yoshi might be, if you get your
hands on a non-Red Turtle Shell.
Tubular is one of the hardest levels. You have to keep finding Blimp Balloons
before the one you are using runs out. To get the first balloon, hit the
P-block, jump _around_ the ? block and jump on the Spring Board that is under
it. Jump and hit the ? block. Jump again, go through the coin that is what is left of the ? block, and catch the Balloon as you come down.
You have to keep hitting ? blocks until you find another Balloon.
When hitting the ? block with the 3rd Balloon, BEWARE of the footballs.
E-mail me if you have any more questions.

"Just because you see something, doesn't mean that it is there, and just
because you don't see something, doesn't mean that it is not there."--Mostly
Harmless
What causes problems for many people is that they try to float into the
bottom of a ? block, and then grab the balloon that comes out.
It is easier if you float over the ? block, and then land on it when
your balloon runs out. To continue, do a spin jump (A button), and
hold the button down. You will slowly fall while spinning. Fall to
right of the ? block. Your spinning cape (I'm assuming you always
wear a cape...) will knock the balloon out of the block, and you
will catch it and start floating.
Doing it this way lets you take a look at the rhythm of the footballs
and time things so they will be less of a problem.
Another thing you can do to help on Tubular is to use the L and R
buttons. For example, there is a place where, if you get balloons
my way, you will be standing on a ? block, and some jerk is throwing
footballs from the right. If you hit L to scroll your view left,
he stops throwing footballs! He won't start again until he gets back
on screen, when you are underway with your balloon. You'll easily
get past him. When you are safely past him, you can use R to get
the view back to normal.
Or, you can just skip the stupid balloons completely. Here's how:
1. Acquire a cape feather and a Blue Yoshi.
2. Hit the P switch that turns the coins solid.
3. Get to the verticle line of flying Koopas. You can do this with a
combination of jumping and bouncing off the heads of Chargin'
Chucks.
4. You will find a group of coins that have been turned solid
by step 2. When you stand on these coins, you can easily snag
a Koopa with Yoshi's tongue. If the coins have turned back to
regular coins, don't despair -- you can still grab a Koopa
by drifting down past the line and flicking out your tongue.
5. Drop down to the bottom of the screen and fly to the right.
You should be able to get past the lava from the volcano plants
before it reaches the bottom of the screen.
6. The only annoying thing left is a pair of Chargin' Chucks.
I recommend knocking the upper one off of his block by hitting
him from below, because he can be a pain in step 7.
7. Now all you have to do is fly past another volcano plant
(or is it two?). This is easy, unless you left that Chargin'
Chuck from step 6. If you did, you have to watch for footballs
while you dodge the lava.
