Starfox64: Sector Z Impossible 100 kills

OK.. maybe its time to buy those starfox play guide book but nah...
It seems that getting 100 kills on Sector Z is impossible for me. I wish I
could just blow up that Katt girl into peices. I only get around 90 kills
just because my wingman kills those damn missile.
So fellow players, is there any trick that you do to get over 100 kills and
get the medal or do I need more then a luck to get over 100 kills? This
medal is the last one away from going into the expert level. Help me out
here!

I load up on bombs from the Zoness boss and use the to kill the last
three missles as soon as possible....took a helluva time working it
right, but I eventually got it. It also might help to shoot at your
wingmen going after the missles...just try not to kill anyone other
than Katt....=)

Besides the ships there is some space debre that you can shoot and
those pieces are worth 3 points each.

Hey! Don't let Katt get in your way! Warp to Sector Z via the 4 Warp
Gats in Sector X and her annoying self won't be present! =-> Also,
especially when 2 and 3 missiles are heading for Great Fox, ignore your
teammates pleas for help! Unless they are incredibly low on energy, just
let them run around being trailed by an enemy, they don't ever take that
much damage at all, and their not blasting 10 point missiles! Also try
shooting boxes littered around the edge of the course if you get a
chance, these are wrth 3 points a pop! Other than that... good luck!

To get 100 kills on Sector Z, follow this route
corneria: take the hard route
Meteo: Take the warp
Katina: Let the mothership blow up the base
Sector X: take the warp ( Let bill help you)
Sector Z : Katt should'nt be there now so all you have to do is hurry up
and shoot those damn missiles

To keep Katt from helping you, enter Sector Z from Sector X. To do this you
have to take the left branch in Sector X & shoot all the grids to warp through
a strange level which lands you in Sector Z. I found this info in a handy
little book that came with Gamepro this month. It still takes practice though.
That little f@#ker Slippy blew up one of the missles when I had 92 hits. Kinda
makes you want to get in a car & run him over. :)

Just be persistant. That's what got me through both modes. Keep on
trying, and then you'll save yourself the $12 or so to buy the guide. :)
(I wanted to buy the guy when it first came out, but they didn't have it.
When they finally get it, I've finished the game completely..sheesh..)

Another thing you can do is to warp to Sector Z from Sector X. Go to the
left when the path splits and open all four? gates. you will then warp
straight to Z and bypass the stage where you meet Katt. Even with this tip
I still can't get the medal on Z! I try and rack up my score by shooting
the ships but that frees my wingmen to take out the missiles! The closest
I got was 98! ARGH! The only other medal I need is Venom. Does anyone know
if you can only get 200 vs Star Wolf or can you do it on the easy path?

You have to go the hard way. You also have to get 51 points for at least 3
of them. To do that, you kill them in the air before they crash.

He is right, you have to get 51 on at least 3 of them, but it is not by killing
them in the air before they crash. You have to kill them within a certain
amount of time. The longer it takes, the less bonus you get.

To get the nessecary 100 kills in Sector Z, you have to shoot all the missiles
yourself(Im not sure if you can let Katt get one and still get the medal)
And, in case anyone didn't know, you also need to shoot down all the missiles
to get to
Area 6. Miss any and you're off to Bolse.(You'll still get to Area 6 if your
wingmen get some of them)

missiles yourself(I dont know if you can let Katt get any and still get the
medal), and in case you didn't know, if a missile gets by you, you're off to
Bolse. If not, you're off to Area 6.
