Oni's jump kick floats and stays out until it hits or he lands. His rolling
leg attack (dashing jump attack) has excellent priority. His air priority
is even better than El Stingray's. Oni is a well-rounded character, a bit on
the weaker but speedy side.

_
Down, Down/Forward, Forward: Jalapeno Comet (Non-grappling)
This move does more damage than the Atomic Diver.
El Stingray gives the slower stronger guys a lot of trouble with his speed
(especially Haggar). His top-rope moves are probably his most dangerous (and
his most damaging).

Grater's flying body attack off the turnbuckle has a very good chance of a
stun.

Up+Attack Back Shoulder Drop "

Rasta's butt-first dash attack has a good chance of a stun. His flying
clothesline, or flying bulldog if done from behind, interrupts other moves.
It can be done by dashing, then jump, then attack when you get close. It can
also be done off the top rope.
"Team Battle Royal Only" Characters

Up+Attack Bear Hug (Submission) Reverse Suplex
Down+Attack Inverted Atomic Knee Drop Atomic Knee Drop
Down+Attack+Jump Inverts foe and falls on him None
Up, Back, Forward, Attack: Pancake Toss
Back, Down/Back, Down, Down/Forward, Forward: Pancake Poison (Non-grappling)
Jumbo has a rapid-fire stomp that does a LOT of damage and can cause
opponents to be stunned when they stand.
============
The Scorpion
============
Grappling Moves :
In front of opponent Behind opponent
Attack only Body Slam Reverse Suplex
Up+Attack Belly-to-Belly Suplex Reverse Suplex
Down+Attack DDT Reverse Suplex Pin
Down+Attack+Jump High-Jumping Power Bomb Pin None
Up, Down, Attack: Slam Spiral
Down, Up, Jump+Attack: Slam Stand (Non-grappling)
(Note: The instruction booklet mistakenly says only Attack is needed. By
the way, the picture's wrong too).
Scorpion tends to win in grappling, which makes him easy to use (and easy for
the computer to cheat with him).
-------------
General Notes
-------------
In all cases, both Left+Attack and Right+Attack while grappling throws your
opponent against the ropes.
Characters in order of speed and agility:
Stingray, Scorpion, Oni, Gunloc, Biff, Haggar, Rasta, Grater, Titan, Jumbo
Everyone left of, and including, Biff, can jump over the ropes and out of
the ring, or try a slide attack through the ropes (Dash at ropes, then just
Attack).
Characters in order of physical strength:
Titan, Jumbo, Haggar, Grater, Scorpion, Rasta, Biff, Gunloc, Oni, Stingray
The best computer teammate for the battle royal is undoubtedly Scorpion.
Some characters have excellent defensive moves (done when an opponent runs
or jumps at you), Oni's mule kick and Biff's high kick among the best of
them.
Some non-grappling moves are tough to avoid and beat other moves, like
Titan's Tsunami, Grater's backfist, Jumbo's Toe-Kick, etc.
Moves that are done with Attack only, or Up+Attack have higher priority, and
you're more likely to win with them against an opponent trying to perform a
special move, which have very low priorities.
When you get pummeled, you get angry (you glow red, though hard to see with
some characters like Oni and Hagggar). When angry, you cause more damage
and are more likely to succeed in grappling. You also gain non-grappling
attacks (new punches, kicks, etc.).
Climbing the top rope and pressing the Pin button to taunt instead of Attack
gets the crowd behind you, and gives you the same boost as when you get
angry. This way, you can get off many special moves off in a row if you keep
the crowd behind you.
The most damaging move in the game is a body splash off the top rope on a
prone opponent (though it will catch standing opponents) while "boosted."
Removes a little over one full bar of color in the battle royal (nearly
impossible to do in singles matches). Biff, Gunloc, Titan, and Haggar can do
it.
If anyone cares, the girl who sometimes runs to Haggar is Jessica, his
daughter that he (and/or Cody, and/or Guy) saves in Final Fight.
If you look closely at the crowd, you'll see cameos by Street Fighter ][
characters. Chun Li is in front of the audience exit on the left. Ryu is
behind her, and is also in front of the other exit. E. Honda is in the
crowd in the middle. Ken was in the arcade version near Honda, but I don't
see him in this version. Of course, Biff mentions Zangief, and Gunloc is
related to Guile.
Rasta no longer picks his nose when he wins in this version.
