I sort of think so (we are talking about Mario here!)
I think he says, "So long, big bowsy."
Well thats what it sounds like to me.

I think he is saying..."Get the fuck off my rock, Bitch!"
It' s "So long Bowsie!".
-Grimm
actually, i think he says "So long, K. Bowser!" as in King bowser. gues
they ran out of room on the cart to squeeze in that extra 1/2 second of
audio to make it sound clearer.

He Says "So long,king Bowser!"

isnt it "So longy Bowser" ?
cheessy italian accent/style eh ?

I think it was something about selling your N64 and getting a PSX :)
Here's another vote for "so long, gay bowser", it's also
the most aesthetically pleasing (and funny) choice.
matt r
That's "Here we go!"
Actually, the one that's driving me nuts is (I think) when Mario has
just jumped through a painting and he says something that sounds to me
like "pekko" or "pickle."

Yeah WTF is Mario saying all the time......I mean when you enter that

Neither. When he enters the painting, he says "ecco" (don't know if it's
actually spelt that way), which is a word in Italian, and when he throws
Bowser, I think he says "So long, dear Bowser!". At least that was what
it sounded like. I'm pretty sure about the painting thing, though.
When Mario tosses Bowser, I believe he is saying "So long, big ugly!" and
when you start a level, it's not pickle that he's saying, it's "Let's-a-go!"
Hope that clarifies things!

I think it's "Let's a go!"

"OUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
- Mario -
It's "Let's a go" in Mario's really bad Italian accent. Ecco IS an
Italian word for "here" as in "Ecco qua" or "here you go", "here's your
stuff"

I'm gonna have to agree with this guy, it's "So longy Bowser".
I always distinctly heard "So long, gay Bowser"..
I still think it's "So long LE Bowser". "Le" is a pronoun in French, which
means "the"... Perhaps it's the same in Italian, since Italian is a Latin
language like French.

It's "So longy Bowser", as he says above.
Nintendo would be about as likely to have mario say "so long, gay Bowser"
as they would to have him say "So long, nigger Bowser"
i.e. not at all.

I thought he said "So long, big bowser" And what sounds like "Mexico"
is "Makes It Go"

Well, Bowser is wearing studs and leather....

I think it's "Here we go!"
Most people know that the "Peach" voice is Leslie Swan, the Nintendo
employee who also wrote the English screen text. But who's Charlie?
Maybe if we found out, we could ask him _exactly_ what he says
to accompany "Throwing Bowser out of the ring"...
Matthew Gaunt (matt...@firtree.u-net.com) wrote:

Since Charles Martinet is a French name, I think Mario says "So long le

Honest. But even more so when you're not listening properly (ie from the
other side of the room). I've got several ppl to back me up on this one

I think you're confusing two sounds. The `Mexico' sound is the sound Mario
makes when (for instance) you get a star.
I believe you're referring to the `nit pickle' sound he makes when you
start a level. I still haven't figured that one out. I suspect it's
something like `get ready', but then again it may just BE `nit pickle'.

It makes sense, doesn't it?
My guess on the bowser line: "so long, bowser"
Think about it, Mario is Italian, so it's, "Let's a-go."
And when he throws Bowser, he says, "So long-ski Bowsie."
I hope I cleared that up.
If it was clear at all, there wouldn't be so many different
opinions. I played it again and it definitely sounds like,
"So long, (unknown word with a clear "A" sound) Bowser".
Sounds gay to me.

I don't personally own M64 but I think Mario might say to Bowser "So
longsy, Bowsy!" I can only judge from my demo tape they gave to Nintendo
Power subscribers, tho.

Umm... Pardon me, but, If he's speaking french, how come it sounds like
english?
And if he's not, why does it sound like french?
I'm pretty sure he's saying "So long, King Bowser!" and "Here we go!"
