Well, I just rented a game called "Final Fight Guy" from Blockbu$ter. It's
supposedly a "straight from Japan" Final Fight. So, being terminally bored
(and finding nothing at any other local stores that evening), I rented it.
First of all, the fact that the Nintendo product label is SNS-FY-USA keyed
off that it was a US release. Then, when I popped it in, it turned out
that it appeared EXACTLY like the original FF for the SNES (except, of
course, for the title screen with the correct title). No uncensored
characters (i.e. the women), not even Japanese text. Does anyone know what
in the hell I rented? I won't even ask why I wasted my cash on yet another
Blockbu$ter rental.

And yes, kiddies, Final Fight CD is still the most die-hard home version
of Final Fight. Chalk up another one for the "obsolete" Sega systems. I
still like my SNES for a few games, but I have to brush off a layer of
dust off of it every time I rent a SNES game. My Sega CD will prevail for
a while until NOA gets their act together. (Hopefully the new Nintendo
ratings system will help this out, but I'm not depending on it.)
