Any help of hints would be appreciated.

Um, which one are you missing? If you let me know I can help you get it.

I too found 11 and missed the Pearl. The monk that was SUPPOSED
to have it, lost it. He gave me a cake instead. I assume that
someone will take the cake in exchange for the Pearl, but I have
not found that someone. (I did try to use the cake thinking that
the pearl might have been baked in but no luck).
Any clues?

[SPOILER SPACE]
This is probably the one Zodiac stone that everyone is having problems with ;)
You have to take it to a city in Diaspola (Somyul I think). There is a little
girl in that city who you were supposed to help while you were playing the
stage for the first time. Anyway, she eats the cake and you get the Pearl.
Unfortunately I am at a loss as to what you are supposed to do with all 12
once you get them.

All I know, not where to get, is you trade them for the Gem of All, the
13th Zodiac Symbol. And I beleive one of the neccessary items for the
fireseal item.

No, that is the Black Pearl (you have to press select when you are looking
at it) The only thing it's good for is cash (41000 I believe).

Which covers the cost of the Golden Bough.

According to the Item sheet, you're supposed to bring the ginger cake to
Somyul in Diaspola.

It WAS baked in the cake. Take the cake to Diaspola, and go talk to Posha.
She'll ask for some cake, and bite into the Pearl!
