Personally, I'm looking forward to F-Zero X more than anything else. I
had a chance to play it at E3; it's a great game. High frame rate, lots
of vehicles to choose from, 29 on-screen opponents, grand prix points
mode, outrageous track designs, multiplayer support, flawless control,
etc.

If you enjoyed the F-Zero for the SNES, you'll have a blast with F-Zero
X. But I'd recommend it to more than just racing fans; it's an easy
game for anyone to pick up and play.

Among the other games slated fro release this fall, Body Harvest mihgt
turn out to be a good one; we'll see. There's also Iggy's Recking
Balls, which is a neat little racer/platform game. I like offbeat games
like that....

Nintendo always seems to have a hard time keeping it's schedules TBA
and ?? are pretty standerd when it comes to pojected Shiping dates. I was
pretty suprised at the last minute change of Mission impossable from July
1 to 15.

And I think we may not see Zelda untill January after all the game is
already over a year late from it's original release date.

It's even slipped a bit further to the 20th or 27th, depending on whom
you believe.

I'm going to make this statement right now. It would be VERY
dangerous IMO for Zelda to slip to next year. This would (as it
stands now), leave Nintendo without a big title moving into the Xmas
time. Not only that but a title THIS anticipated making that slippage
would be disastrous to what I already consider to be "morale problems"
for owners of the system(us), as well as others....

You don't spend $20 million on a title that you are going to delay...

Obviously, this is a crucial title for Nintendo and they will probably
do anything to release it on time.

When asked at E3 if he thought that Zelda would ship on time, Howard
Lincoln (NOA) said:

"I`m quite confident that we`re not going to have any delay problems
whatsoever with Zelda. We all know that this is a critical title and
that it has a critical date for release, november 23."

Of course, he would never admit to anything else, but I actually think
Zelda will make the release date.

Again, Nintendo is spending $20 Million on marketing Zelda. You don't
spend that sort of money on a game that you will delay.

You might not do this and I might not do this but it happens all of
the time in the entertainment industry (which includes software for a
Nintendo 64).

Again, you are wrong. A company would not do this intentionally but
sometimes it happens (anyone remember the Windows 97 hype?).

Windows 97? What the FUCK are you talking about? How much crack do you
smoke before you log onto Usenet? There NEVER was a Windows 97, or 96
for that matter. Only a retard would think that there was a Windows

Uhh..

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Memphis (aka Win98) was due to ship in 97.
Just as NT5 was due to ship in 98. If you see NT5 before 2000, I'lll be the
most surprised person on the planet.

Rather than taking an offensive stance as a knee-jerk reaction, you may want
to check a fact or two before spouting your vitriole.

Thanks. I told him basically the same thing (without giving him all
of the necessary info) because I would have rather had him go on
spouting like an idiot.

Nobody plans to spend that kind of money and then not release their
product but as they say, crap happens. Many a fine company has went
out of business due to missed deadlines/production overbudgets.
