What is the deal with this SNES game? How does it fit into the series? Is it
the sequal to FF3? And finally is it any good?

Thanks!

"FFG" is nothing more than the original Final Fight, with the
character Guy (from the arcade) who was left out of the original SNES
FF. In this version, I believe Cody is left out to make room for Guy.
Why they couldn't have just put all three in to begin with, I have no
idea.

Regardless, the game was a Japanese-only release, although apparently
Capcom had some kinda deal with Blockbuster, as the game was available
as a "Blockbuster Exclusive" for rental.

Never judge a man till you've walked a mile in his shoes, because by then, you're a mile away, you've got his shoes, and you can say whatever the hell you want.

Lessee...Final Fight Guy was the SNES Final Fight, but with Guy in it instead
of Cody. It is no sequel to the Final Fight games. It's still 1-player, it
still doesn't have all 3 fighters to use, you still can't continue at the exact
spot you died at, still no elevator level, same effeminate Billy instead of
Poisen to fight...
Somebody correct me, but I think that this was the home version of Final Fight
released in Japan. Then one day Capcom fight like releasing it in the USA.
That might explain why all the beef roasts are replaced by chicken in the game.

I believe both Final Fight and Final Fight Guy were released in Japan.
Supposedly FFG also made it to the US at select Blockbuster video rental
stores.
