Justa variation on the old "When it is." code. At the team style screen,
go DRLDDRU, then hit A (Balanced shoule be highlighted). The name
selection screen will pop up, saying: WHEN
ISN'T IT?
The old code said to change it to: WHEN IT
IS.
which gives you a better-than-average team named "When it is." The
improved cheat allows you to get an even better team, and allows you to
re-name it. Change it to: WHEN
IT IS.
The screen will blink, then you'll get the old: FALCONS
TEAM 1
Change it to whatever you want. When your team is all put together, view
it. All your players' point totals will be in the 70's at least!

HOW TO GET 90-90 PITCHERS: Sign a rookie with 75 or more points.
Actually,
just make sure that (90 - max pts) > (prestige). At least I think
that's how
it is (but you'll understand soon enough). Now, continue to pay him so
his
ability goes up, but DON'T power up prestige!! After a while, there
will be
nothing left to power up except prestige, So power that up until he is
maxed
out, something like 84-84 with 9 prestige, for example. Then, go to his
BATTING stats and power up the prestige to 15. These points will
"magically"
be added to his pitching, since prestige counts in both! A 90-90
pitcher;
voila!
I assume you already know about the "When isn't it" trick... but if you
don't
-- When you get to select which kind of team you want, move the + pad
D-R-L-D-D-R-U and you should be on 'Balanced Team' (you can move it
here, but
it's risky. So stick to balanced team.) Then the screen will read "When
isnt
it?" with NO apostrophe. Change this to 'When it is.', keeping the line
break
where it is. You'll then get to pick the real name for your team. Look
at
your players, and you should have numerous stars on your roster! Do
this
several times, and raid the other teams of their best players!
Also, and this is meaningless, but... Make sure NONE of the players on
EITHER
team have any prestige. Play a league game between these two clubs. The
attendance will be 2, and the money will be infinite (which means you
have to
reset the game ^_^) And... all games end in ties after 18 innings; I
don't
think the stats count even.
That's what I can think of for now... know anything else? I know you
can get
a great women's team with a variation of the When it is trick,
involving
"What is a wren" (a bird.) but I forget how to do this. BTW, the best
team is
the Dreams, most prestigious is the Ladies, and worst is the Crushers.
I remember playing this game nearly every afternoon with my friends
when I
was in high school... Baseball Stars and Bases Loaded were my all time
favorites until FF2 came along... let me know if you get any more
interesting
tricks.

As far as I know it was the first game to let you alter names and
abilities. I made up the Expos and Blue Jays fairly accurately and played
seasons with them. I agree that it is FAR better than almost any baseball
game since

That is a great game and I believe also that it is the greatest
baseball game that has ever come out for nintendo. I have a question to
ask you? Sometimes when you would select a team's name, instead of seeing
for example..." Turtles Team 4 " on the screen, instead you would see "
What is a Wren?" I heard that if you figured out the clue you would get a
super-team but it never worked for me. Do you know what I mean? Did you
