Eric Ingram does not represent Nintendo of America Inc. He might be
the administrator of the Nintendo chat area on the IRC, but he is
neither a Nintendo employee nor someone that Nintendo has contracted
to represent us. The words "Nintendo Admin" can be misleading...I
just wanted to make sure everyone is aware that he does not work for
us.

Sincerely,
Curt Ericson
Nintendo of America Inc.

I had the same experience. While I didn't get kicked, they were a
bunch of kiddies with ops talking about farts, and kicking people right
and left. No talk about Nintendo stuff at all.

Lame channel. Don't bother.

IRC isn't meant for being completely serious all of the time. I'm
sure they were bored with the most commonly asked question on
any Nintendo-related channel: questions regarding the U64.

Just take a chill pill and try some other channel -- otherwise go
get information regarding the U64 from the horses mouth, eh?

You're free to check out #SNES if you'd like; we talk about all
types of topics, not just the SNES. But, you're under the same
jurisdiction as above -- don't blame us if someone there kicks you
for no apparent reason. It may not be apparent to you, but it may
be apparent to others. :-)

He never /said/ he was a Nintendo admin. He said #Nintendo Admin (note the
# sign) Big difference. The # automatically should signal a redflag to
anyone reading (especially in a post ABOUT irc) that he is talking about
being a irc channel (in this case named nintendo) admin and NOT the company.

-For your info, the channel is *NEW*, and that is why there are not a lot
of people there, second, we only kick lamers.. We aren't them.. And, if you
weren't kicked for being a lamer, it was becuz #vidgames, or #sega people
were TRYING to takeover *AGAIN* and failed..

IRC sux for two reasons: 1) people in IRC have attitudes. Did you ever notice
that? Is it common to brown nose just to get an answer to a question in IRC?
A lot of people get in a channel and say F*ck this & F*ck that and flood the
channel with idiotic bilge. They think it is funny, but trust me, it is not.
I got bored once myself and acted stupid in IRC. All I did was waste other
people's time. Maybe that is why people have attitudes and are not helpful to
strangers. Too many people acting stupid and rude.

reason 2) There is too many little clubs and groups. Nobody talks to you
if you do not know someone. And you can't know anyone if nobody will talk to
you. They need to make a channel called #catch22 so that they can solve that
problem.

You know what the problem is? This type of blatant immaturity is
present elsewhere. One night, on irc.eskimo.com, #nintendo (there
before this new guy, I think) I met some guys who immediately took
dislike to me(Not uncommon in Reality, but on the net...) and
changed the topic to something about me. Anyway, I played along and
went on one of my I AM The Master Of WAR!!! rants, and suddenly I'm
kicked out. I use mIRC, so I got put right back in, and this
idiodicy went on for several minutes, until the one guy proceeded
to ban me. So I and a few guys who wanted to chat instead of play
kick the kid (One being the Immortal VegaBros!) went to #ultra64.
The moral of the story being that this new #nintendo isn't
exclusive to such immaturity.

I AM The Master Of WAR!!!
