While I do believe that the U64 will be the coolest system out
there when it does get out there, this will hurt nintendo real bad. The
Genesis has always had market superiority over the SNES, Nintendo's
games might be better, but they lacked in the number of systems sold
so competing with the Genesis was difficult.
The late release of the U64 will be even worse, for now there
are 2 game systems out, big systems out, to compete with, and more
are following suit. If nintendo doesn't get their act together they will
lose any sort of a market share that they could get... which is very unfortunate.

Everyone keeps saying that the U64's delay will hurt them. Not really,
when you consider the fact that the SNES came out a WHOLE year after
the Genesis, the SNES still caught up to it (and IMHO exceeded it).
The same will happen again, people will wait for a GOOD product.
Everyone hates to wait (I do), but with games like KI, Yoshi's Island,
DKC2, Chrono Trigger and Earth Worm Jim 2 coming for the SNES this
year, do we REALLY need another system right away? Besides the Virtual
Boy is a great system, believe me you have to see it before you judge
it. So don't worry, April'96 will come, but don't dwell on it. You
might be disappointed that others are going to be playing
next-generation games right now, but what happens when April'96 comes
and people are already used to their systems? The U64 will blow them
away with *killer* games. This November, Nintendo is going to show it's
system along with TEN games in the Shoshinkai Show. This show is ONLY
three months away, so by then we'll be FLOODED with U64 info, beleive
me, when you see what they system can do, you won't mind the wait.
If people have waited Win'95 (it was delayed a WHOLE year), the SNES,
and people waited for the PSX, people can wait for the U64.
It really depends, do you want to play good games now (which you can do
with the SNES) or would you rather wait for AWESOME games?

For God's sake Vega----SHUT UP! We get the damn point already. You
keep saying the same crap,over,and over,and over,and over,and over
again. Plus,as if that wasnt bad enough, you ill-informed,and english
skills are severly lacking. The SNES came out *TWO* years after the
Genesis. Also, the Virtual Boy is hardly a great system. Dont even try
to act like you've used it,because you havent. I tried it weeks
ago,and cant help but pity anyone who actually shells out money for
it. Sure there was a slight 3-D effect, but was it true 3-D? Nope. Plus
the fact that it only uses two colors. I tried to get over that,I
really did,but its just not possible. When you first start playing the
thing, the two color limits pisses you off. Three hours later, your even
more pissed off at the two color limit. After about ten minutes of use
you start to develop a head, and possibly a back ache. You'll see for
yourself exactly what I mean when you try it for the first time.
Anyway,no one is saying that the U64 is not going to be a great
system. I think we all know that it will be. That sure as hell doesnt
make the Saturn,3DO,or PSX bad systems though. As you would try to
lead us to believe. Once again,I ask,nay I *BEG* of you to get your
facts straight before you make such non-sensicle posts.

*Boy, you really don't know what your talking about. The VB is the ONLY
REAL 3D system available to the mass market. The rest of the machines
produce 3D Graphics (not images).

Only time will tell. Nintendo has had a LONG time to think up their

What the difference between realtime polygons or a VR set with headtracking and
strapping a 2 color monitor to you head? Absolutely nothing. How can the
Virtua Boy be defined as true 3d? The Virtua Boy is just a headset with small
monitors inside, no different than anything else on the market (except for the
price).

OH NO! I forgot an apostophe. Sweet jesus say it isnt so!

A Die-hard store. They had some in the back. I played some crappy
Boxing game, and the Mario game. The boxing title wasnt half bad,but
the mario game blew.

Ever heard of VR? The PC has *TRUE* 3-D systems for over a year now.
Their called VR goggles, and four companys make them. Now *THATS* true
3-D. The VB is simulated 3-D.

Yeah,as a matter of fact I have. I'll be the first to admit the good
graphics do not a good game make. The control sucked on both of the
games I played, and the two color graphics were the nail in the coffin.
It simply is not possible to get past it. The graphics were a thorn in
my side from the moment I started playing.

>*Even more pissed off? Were you expecting more colors to show up as you

No,of course not genius. The color limit starts to bother you more, and
more as you play it. It's a bother in the beggining, and by the time
your done playing it bothers you even more. You think you can follow
what i'm saying? Probably not....

Really. You must be very,VERY small then. Anyones who's over 4' tall
will be bothered by the system set-up. At the very least you have to
have a perfect table/chair combonation thats just the right
height, otherwise you have to hunch over. You do know what the word
hunch means......right?

Actually you've said a few times that the PSX will be bad. I'm a
whiner,eh? This coming from the loser who made the *SEGA WILL FALL*
message. Face it,Vega people dont like you in the Nintendo area
either. I sure will be glad when school starts back in,and we won't
have to hear from you as much.

*The VB produces 3D images, your NOT looking into a monitor. The images
in front of you are REAL, created by reflecting lights. If it were ONLY
two small monitors, than what would be the point of releasing it?
The whole point of the Virtual Boy is to immerse players in a REAL 3D
world. Remember, VB uses LED's NOT LCD's. LED's are
Light-emitting-diodes. You have to try the system first, then you'll
know what I mean. It's out there, try it.
*Mario blew? You are such a liar! The Mario game isn't EVEN out yet,
it's not out in Japan either. You could have least said the truth, no
need to lie.
>Ever heard of VR? The PC has *TRUE* 3-D systems for over a year now.

electronics stores around here even carry them.

*Do a little research first. The goggles for the PC's are made up of
LCD's, which are basically little monitors. The VB uses LED's
Light-Emitting-Diodes.

While the U64 may not be out til 96, the Saturn and PSX are one step
above the current platforms. The Ultra 64, it two steps. I could go
on and explain why, but most the people who are reading this don't
understand a damn thing about engineering and processors.

Ah, I forgot it used LED's not LCD. From what I'm told though the sound kinda
sucks. Anyone have any opinions?
Oh GOD! YOU IDIOTS! The VB IS two small monitors! Just a quick glance
at the system specs will tell you that. The VB is basicly just a
high-tech ViewMaster. Remember those? You look into the little eye
holes, and it tricks you into thinking its 3-D. It looks good
enough, but it is NOT 3-D. Its not even close.
*You just proved that you NEVER really played it before. Monitors?
Call Nintendo for yourself (1-800-422-2602), The two little
screen-like windows are NOT monitors. To prove my statement(anyone
who has ACTUALLY played it will know what I'm talking about), when
you stick your face into the Virtual Boy, you see everything CLEAR, but
as you move your face away from it, it looses focus and eventually
disapears from sight. If it were TWO monitors, it would NOT change.
>Just a quick glance
>at the system specs will tell you that.
*I bet that ALL you did, just glance at it.

* Anyone who want FACTS, can call Nintendo at 1-800-422-2602.
They are VERY friendly and will answer ALL your questions.
But don't listen to this guy, he obviously NEVER played it before.
